The designated service area for the G. William Coulthard Wetland Mitigation Bank will extend from the southern Iowa border to the southern edge of Sioux City, from south to north. The service area from west to east is from the western border of Iowa to the foothills of the Loess Hills.
This service area will provide mitigation opportunities for Missouri River floodplain wetlands that have been damaged in western Iowa.
Although there are rigid boundaries for the service area, wetland credits may be sold to buyers outside the service area with the approval of the U.S. Corps of Engineers.
